Accomplishments

The 8th Pusan International Film Festival became one of the most remarkable festivals in the world with the re-opening of the outdoor screening venue, the most number of films shown in its history and the first-ever screening of North Korean films. Also, the outstanding showing of the Asian Film Industry Center (AFIC), a co-venture with BIFCOM from the Busan Film Commission, marked an icing on the cake for PIFF as it became the central point in the Asian film industry.
